1 bunch asparagus - ends trimmed, stems slightly peeled and cut into halves
1 shitake mushroom
2 shallot - sliced
2 cloves garlic - chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
dash of pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
- Heat up 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add in mushroom and saute for 1 minute. Add shallot and garlic and saute for another 1- 2 minutes or until fragrant. Sprinkle some pepper and remove from pan and set aside.
- Add another 1 tbsp oil into the pan. Saute the stem part of the asparagus, covered for 2 minutes, turning once in between. Push aside and add in the asparagus shoots. Cover for another 2 mins.
- Remove cover and drizzle soy sauce and sesame oil over the asparagus.
- Transfer to a serving plate and serve together with the mushroom.
