Eight Treasures Tonic Soup (Ba Zhen Tang 八珍汤)

300 g pork ribs - blanched
1500 ml water
40 g  Fructus Jujubae (大棗 Da Zao)
19g  Cooked Rehmannia Root (熟地黄 Shou Di Huang)
12g  Radix Codonopsis (參 Dang Shen)
12g  Praeparata cum Melle (甘草 Gan Cao)
12g  Radix Paconiae Alba (白芍 Bai Shao)
10g  Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae (白朮 Bai Shu)
8g  Poria (茯苓 Fu Lin)
8g  Rhizoma Chuanxiong (川芎 Chuan Xiong)
8g  Radix Angelicae Sinensis  (当归 Dang Gui)

  1. Wash herbal ingredients and drained.  Place ingredients and meat into the pot of a slow cooker.  
  2. Add water to the pot and cook for 4 hours on high or 7 hours on low heat.
  3. Add salt to taste and serve warm.
