Vegetarian Braised tofu with Shitake Mushroom



Ingredients
1 packet pre-fried tofu - blanched in boiling water to get rid of oil
some sliced carrot
fresh shitake mushroom - cleaned
1 tsp chopped ginger 
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
sprinkle of white pepper
salt to taste
chopped green onion - cut into 1 inch length 
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Method
  1. Heat up oil in claypot.  Fry chopped ginger till lightly brown.
  2. Add sliced carrot, tofu and shitake mushroom.
  3. Drizzle soy sauce and vegetarian oyster sauce.  Lightly stir to mix.
  4. Add some water to braise.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle some salt and white pepper and drizzle sesame oil.
  6. Add cut green onion and stir to mix.
  7. Serve warm.
