Another delish one pot meal by the hub. Few ingredients yet full of of fiavours!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup of rice
1 13/4 cup of water
2 pieces of chinese sausage (lap cheong)
4 inches chinese cured meat (la rou)
5 cloves garlic - peeled and lightly smashed
one small bunch of broccoli - cut into florets
Seasonings
2 tbsp or more dark caramel sauce (kecap manis)
1 tsp shallot oil
Method
- Lightly oil a claypot. Rinse rice and add into claypot. Add water and cook on medium heat.
- While the rice is cooking, cut the cured meat and sausage into thin slices.
- When rice is bubbly and water is almost absorbed, switch to low fire.
- Add sliced cured meat and sausage to the claypot. Cover and continue to cook for another 15 minutes. Add broccoli and let it cook for another few minutes.
- Remove from heat and drizzle kecap manis and shallot oil.
- Mix everything together to incorporate all the fabulous flavours of the ingredients.
- Time to dig into this aromatic and super tasty pot of rice!
