Steam Chicken with Scallion and Ginger







Ingredients
5 chicken drumsticks
1 inch fresh ginger - peeled and grated
2 stalk scallion/green onion - finely chopped
1 tbsp shallot oil
salt to taste

Garnish
fried shallot 
chopped scallions

Method
  1. Heat up water in a wok.  Steam the chicken drumstick for 14 minutes.  Remove from heat.  Hand shred the chicken meat into large pieces.  Place shredded chicken on a serving plate.
  2. Add salt, grated ginger, chopped scallions and shallot oil to the chicken meat.  Toss to mix well.
  3. Sprinkle with some fried shallot and chopped scallions.  Serve warm with rice and a simple and delicious meal is ready!
