Braised Pork with Ginger Scallions

3/4 lb lean pork - sliced thinly
1 bunch green onions - ends trimmed, separate white and green parts
1 pc ginger - julienned
1 fresh red chilli - sliced thinly

Marinade for meat

1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp shaoxing wine
1 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
salt and pepper to taste

1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce


  1. Heat oil in pan over medium heat.
  2. Saute ginger and white part of green onion till fragrant.
  3. Add sliced pork, chilli and green part of green onion.
  4. Do a quick stir fry. Add sauce and stir fry over high heat.
  5. Add some water, cover and let it braise for 3 - 5 minutes or till pork is cooked.
