Fried Cod Fish with Black Fungus

1 cod fish steak
shredded ginger
some fresh black fungus
1 shallot - sliced
vegetable oil

  1. Heat up oil in frying pan.  Fry the shallot till aromatic.  Set aside.  Fry the ginger till browned.  Set aside.
  2. Fry cod fish for about five minutes on both sides.
  3. Place fish on a serving plate.
  4. Add black fungus and stir fry for 1 to 2 minutes.  Add soy sauce and do a quick stir fry.
  5. Transfer the black fungus to the serving plate.
  6. Garnish the fish with the fried shallot and shredded ginger.
  7. Serve warm with rice or porridge.
