70g green beans - soaked overnight and drained
1 small sweet potato - peeled and cut into cubes
1 pandan leaves - knotted
1 small piece of dried orange peel
3 tbsp of rock sugar
1 tbsp sago - washed and drained
1 small pot of water - filled to 1/2 full
- Add green beans, pandan leaves and dried orange peel to the pot of water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium low and continue to simmer until the beans are soft. Add rock sugar and stir till it dissolved.
- Add sweet potato and sago and bring to a boil again. Once it starts boiling, switch off heat, cover and let it stand for 20 - 30 mins. The internal heat will continue to cook the ingredients.
- Ladle into a serving bowl and serve warm.
