Green Bean with Sweet Potato Dessert

for 2 pax
70g green beans - soaked overnight and drained
1 small sweet potato - peeled and cut into cubes
1 pandan leaves - knotted
1 small piece of dried orange peel
3 tbsp of rock sugar
1 tbsp sago - washed and drained 
1 small pot of water - filled to 1/2 full
  1. Add green beans, pandan leaves and dried orange peel to the pot of water and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to medium low and continue to simmer until the beans are soft.  Add rock sugar and stir till it dissolved.
  3. Add sweet potato and sago and bring to a boil again.  Once it starts boiling, switch off heat, cover and let it stand for 20 - 30 mins.  The internal heat will continue to cook the ingredients.
  4. Ladle into a serving bowl and serve warm.
