1 bowl red beans - washed and soaked overnight
1 bowl sugar
- Pour the red beans into a pressure cooker. Add enough water, leaving 2 cm space above the bean surface. Cover lid and bring to a boil. Once it starts boiling, switch to medium low heat and boil for another 15 mins.
- Once it is safe to open the lid, stir sugar into the cooked beans.
- Mash the beans with a potato masher until desired consistency. Let cool and store in the fridge for later use.
