Applesauce Walnut Raisin Cake

Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 cup sugar
1-1/2 cups applesauce
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1-1/2 tsp vanilla
1-1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Method
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees f.  Grease and flour a bking pan.  Set aside.
  2. Combine all cake ingredients, except raisins and walnuts in a large bowl.
  3. Beat at low speed until all the ingredients are moistened.
  4. Beat at high speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth.
  5. Stir in raisins and walnuts.
  6.  Pour into prepared pan.  Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until center is firm to the touch and edges begin to pull away from sides of pan.  Cool completely. 
  7. Cut into slices and enjoy the moist and tasty cake!
