Ingredients
1 cup of basmati rice, rinsed
2 cups of water
1 tomato, cut into small pieces
1/2 small onion - diced
1 tsp turmeric powder
8 dried curry leaves
pinch of salt
a slice of butter
Method
- Add rinsed basmati rice to the rice cooker. Add 2 cups of water.
- Add tomato, onion, turmeric powder, curry leaves, salt and butter to the rice.
- Cover and cook. Rice is ready once indicator for cooked rice is on. Fluff with a fork and enjoy the aromatic rice!
