Steamed Oysters with Garlic and Black Bean






plump and juicy oysters all ready!
 
Ingredients
10 fresh oysters
1 tsp fermented black bean - soaked for 10 minutes, rinsed and lightly chopped
1 tbsp rice wine
1 tbsp minced garlic
sprinkle of chopped parsley
Method
  1. Scrub the oysters to remove any mud and grit.  Rinse with cold, running water.  Throw away any oysters with broken shells or those which have opened.
  2. Shuck the oysters.  Add the chopped black bean and garlic..  Steam for 5 to 8 minutes on high heat, depending on the size of the oysters.  Remove from steamer when oysters are just cooked, looking soft and fleshy.  
  3. Dig into these delectable morsels of briny goodness immediately!
