Ingredients
1 lb pork ribs
1/2 cup cubed fresh pineapple
1 green bell pepper - remove seeds and cut into bite-sized pieces
1 small yellow onion - cut into quarters
1 tbsp minced ginger
3 tbsp cooking oil
extra oil for frying ribs
1 tbsp huatiao wine
1 tsp sesame oil
pinch of salt and pepper to taste
Sweet and Sour Sauce
3 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp black vinegar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp cornstarch solution
Method
- Marinate pork ribs with seasonings for a few hours.
- Heat up a pot of cooking oil.
- Dust pork ribs with some flour and deep fry pork ribs till brown and crispy. Set aside.
- Add one tbsp oil in a frying pan. Fry garlic for a while. Add onion and fry till aromatic.
- Add bell pepper and stir fry over high heat.
- Add fried pork ribs and cubed pineapple into the pan. Add sweet and sour sauce.
- Fry to mix well. Add a little water if it is too dry. Add cornstarch solution if necessary to thicken it.
- Ladle into a serving plate and serve warm.
