Canned Mackerel in Tomato Sauce

1 can mackerel
1/2 white onion - sliced
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
1 small bowl freshly blended tomato sauce
1 tbsp vegetable oil

  1. Heat up pan on medium heat.  Fry ginger and garlic till aromatic.  Add onion and fry till translucent.
  2. Add tomato suace and red chillies.  Let it cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in mackerel and half of the soup from the can.
  4. Cover and cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add salt to taste if needed.
  6. Transfer to a plate and serve warm.
