Steamed Chicken with Squash

300g chicken drumsticks or thigh (cut into bite-sized pcs)
1 bowl squash (cut into bite-sized pcs)
1 chinese sausage  - sliced thinly
2 dried shitake mushrooms -soaked drained and quartered
1 tbsp yellow wine
cornstarch solution

1 tbsp yellow wine
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
pinch of cornstarch

  1. Marinate chicken meat with seasonings for 1 hour or more.
  2. Place marinated meat in a plate.  Add squash, sausage and mushrooms.
  3. Steam over medium heat for 15 minutes or till meat is just cooked.
  4. Add another tbsp of yellow wine and stir in cornstarch solution.
  5. Steam for another 1 - 2 minutes to slightly thicken the sauce.
  6. Garnish with some chopped green onions and serve warm.
