3/4 lb ground pork
2 shallots - chopped
2 cloves garlic - chopped
1 stalk green onion - chopped
1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
1 tsp fish sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
sprinkle of white pepper
pinch of salt
1- 2 tsp cornstarch
vegetable oil (enough for deep frying)
- Heat up oil in a frying pan. Place the meatballs into the pan and fry till golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- Drain excess oil on paper towels and serve imme
- Place all ingredients (except the oil) in a bowl and mix well. The mixture should be sticky enough to shape into meatballs.
- Serve with some sliced cucumbers or chilli/tomato sauce.
