Fried pork meatballs

3/4 lb ground pork
2 shallots - chopped

2 cloves garlic - chopped
1 stalk green onion - chopped
1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
1 tsp fish sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce
sprinkle of white pepper
pinch of salt

1- 2  tsp cornstarch
vegetable oil (enough for deep frying)

  1. Heat up oil in a frying pan.  Place the meatballs into the pan and fry till golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  2. Drain excess oil on paper towels and serve imme
  3. Place all ingredients (except the oil) in a bowl and mix well.  The mixture should be sticky enough to shape into meatballs.
  4. diately.
  5. Serve with some sliced cucumbers or chilli/tomato sauce.
