1 lb chilean sea bass - chopped into large pieces
1 mao gua - peeled and cut into large cubes
1 bunch bean thread - soaked in water and drained
2 stalks green onion - cut into 2 inches length
8 tofu puff
1 tbsp chopped garlic
3 slices ginger
salt and pepper
vegetable oil
Sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp huatiao wine
1 tbsp black vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
Method
- Marinate fish with salt and pepper.
- Heat up oil in pan. Pan fry fish till lightly brown. Set aside.
- Add the remaining oil to a claypot, Fry garlic, ginger and white portion of green onion till aromatic.
- Drizzle soy sauce, oyster sauce and huatiao wine.
- Add 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Add mao gua and tofu puff. Cook till tender.
- Add pan fried fish pieces and bean thread and bring to a boil again.
- Add black vinegar, sesame oil and green portions of green onion and toss to mix well.
- Serve warm with rice.
