Baked Claypot Chicken and Pumpkin







A very tasty and healthy claypot dish that Hub often cook!

Ingredients
2 leg quarters
2 chicken wings
1/4 pumpkin = seeds removed and cut into cubes
1/2 small onion - peeled and sliced
2 cloves garlic - mashed
2 slices ginger
salt and pepper to taste

Rice Cooker Pork Rib with Pumpkin Rice

Ingredients
3/4 lb pork ribs - cut into small pieces
1/2 cup cubed pumpkin
2 tablespoons oil 
3 dried mushrooms, washed, soaked, drained, and cut into thin slices
2 slices ginger, chopped 
3 cloves garlic, chopped 
1/2 teaspoon sugar 
2 teaspoons light soy sauce
1/2 cup water 
1 cup uncooked rice
Water (use the amount appropriate to the type of rice you’re using and your rice cooker’s instructions) 
1 teaspoon salt

Claypot Fish with Zucchini and Spicy Korean Bean Paste




Ingredients
1 lb halibut fish meat
1/4 portion of a large zucchini - peeled and cut into 2 inch length
2 tbsp spicy korean bean paste
2 slices ginger
2 cloves garlic - chopped
8 fried tofu puff
1 stalk of green onion - ends trimmed and cut into 2 inch length 
salt and pepper to taste

Braised Pork Rib with Zucchini





Beautiful home grown zucchini which are organic, large and sweet.  Good to have a very nice neighbour who shared her bounty with us!





Ingredients
1 lb pork ribs - cleaned
a section of a large zucchini - peeled, pith and seeds removed and cut into 2 inch length
few slices ginger
2 cloves garlic - chopped
1 tbsp cooking oil
water as needed

Claypot Curry Fish with Vegetables





Ingredients
halibut fish meat - cleaned and cut into large pieces
handful of french beans - ends trimmed and cut into 2 inch length
some cabbage - cut into pieces
1 eggplant - ends trimmed and cut into 2 inch length
8 pieces of fried beancurd puff
3 tbsp thai red curry paste
1 tbsp curry powder 
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp homemade sambal belachan
half onion - peeled and chopped
2 shallots - peeled and sliced
3 cloves garlic - chopped
1 large tomato - cut into slices 
coconut milk
cooking oil

Stir Fried Chicken Slices with Glutinous Rice Wine



Ingredients
1 large piece of chicken breast - sliced 
1 knob ginger - peeled and julienned
dash of sesame oil
1/3 cup glutinous rice wine
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 stalk green onion - ends trimmed and cut into 1 inch length
1 tbsp cooking oil

Stir Fried French Bean with Sambal Ikan Bilis



Ingredients
1 bunch of french beans - ends trimmed and cut into 2 cm length
sambal ikan bilis
2 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp of cooking oil

French Bean Omelette




Ingredients
1 bunch of french bean - ends trimmed and sliced into 2 cm length
3 eggs - lightly beaten with 1 tbsp soy sauce and dash of pepper
2 tbsp dried shrimp skin
3 cloves garlic - peeled and minced
1 to 2 tbsp cooking oil
salt to taste

Claypot Fish Head Soup






Very delicious claypot fish soup prepared by the hub.  A comforting hometown dish especially in the fall season, a soup that nourishes the body and the soul! Halibut collar was used but it tasted just as good as fish head. The natural milky taste of the soup and the tender fish meat of the halibut paired so well!

Grilled Whole Rainbow Trout


This rainbow trout was really fresh!
 
Ingredients
1 fresh rainbow trout - cleaned and gutted
salt and pepper to taste
olive oil

Chewy Sweet Potato Balls



Ingredients
1 medium sized sweet potato - peeled
tapioca starch
water for kneading
3 cups water
2 tbsp quinoa
8 red dates
2 slices ginger
sugar to taste

Singapore Teochew Bak Kut Teh (White Pepper Version)




Ingredients
1 lb pork ribs
1 packet bak kut teh spices
1 bulb garlic
1 tsp white peppercorns - lightly crushed
1 packet of fresh enoki mushrooms - washed and ends trimmed
some dried beancurd
2 slices ginger

Stir Fried French Beans with Eggs and Dried Shrimp Skin( 虾皮)
