Pork Chop in Tomato Sauce



Ingredients
4 pieces medium size pork chop (about 1/2 inch thick and deboned)
1 yellow onion - peeled and sliced
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tomato - cut into wedges
 5 - 6 tbsp tomato sauce
 handful of frozen green peas
salt and sugar to taste
water
vegetable oil

Potato Salad - Nepali Style

Ingredients
5-6 small, red potatoes (boiled, peeled, & diced)
1 small carrot, peeled & diced
1/2 medium red onion, chopped
1/4 medium cucumber, seeded, & diced (i omitted this)
1-2 red or green chili, finely chopped (use more or less depending upon your taste bud)
about 1/4 cup roasted, sesame (roasting brings out more flavor and may grind if desired)
1-2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1-2 teaspoon chaat masala, optional ( it adds little sweetness and sourness) - omitted
1 freshly squeezed lemon juice
few cilantro leaves , roughly chopped (for garnish)
water (only if the final product is too dry, add few tsp)
salt, to taste

Prata with Chicken Curry



Ingredients
1 packet frozen prata
1/2 cup chicken breast cubes
1 1/2 tbsp thai red curry paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 small yellow onion - peeled and sliced
2 slices ginger
1 shallot - peeled and sliced
1 star anise
2 cloves
1 sprig curry leaves - use leaves only 
2 cups fresh coconut milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil

BBQ Curry Chicken


Ingredients
1/2 chicken
2 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp curry powder
1 1/2 tbsp salt

Sambal Clams


Ingredients
1 packet Prima Taste Nonya Sambal (sweet & spicy chili Sauce)
1 packet frozen clams (already cleaned and cooked)
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp water

Fried pork meatballs

Ingredients
3/4 lb ground pork
2 shallots - chopped

2 cloves garlic - chopped
1 stalk green onion - chopped
1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
1 tsp fish sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce
sprinkle of white pepper
pinch of salt

1- 2  tsp cornstarch
vegetable oil (enough for deep frying)


Braised Tofu with Yam


Ingredients
1 packet soft tofu - cut into cubes
1 medium sized yam - peeled and cut into cubes
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp chopped shallot
1 small bowl minced pork
2 tbsp dried prawns - soaked 10 mins and drained
1 tbsp huatiao wine
1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
few tbsp water
dash of pepper
dash of sesame oil
chopped green onion
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Thai Chicken Fried Rice (泰式鸡肉片炒饭)

Ingredients
2 bowls cooked rice
3/4 cup cooked chicken breast - diced
1 green bell pepper - diced
1 stalk celery - diced
3 cloves garlic - minced
1 shallot - sliced
1 egg
1/3 cup frozen green peas
sprinkle of red chili flakes
sprinkle of white pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
pinch of salt
vegetable oil

Abalone sea cucumber and fish maw soup noodles

Ingredients
handful of dry noodles
other ingredients (leftover soup) - refer to here
salt and pepper to taste
drizzle of sesame oil
fresh red chili + soy sauce (for dipping)

Method
  1. Bring a pot of water to boil.  Cook the noodles according to packet instructions.
  2. Drain and set aside in a bowl. 
  3. Pour away the water and reheat the leftover soup.  
  4. Once it starts boiling, add a little salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the soup into the bowl of noodles.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil and serve warm with sauce.

Sea Cucumber Abalone and Fish Maw Soup

Ingredients
1 packet sea cucumber (frozen fresh type) - cleaned, blanched and cut into pieces
3 pieces dried fish maw - blanched, drained and cut into pieces
1 can abalone
4 dried shitake mushrooms -soaked, drained and trimmed
12 fresh white mushrooms - cleaned
2 slices of ginger
10 white peppercorns - lightly crushed
handful of sliced hua qi sheng (american ginseng)
handful of goji berries
few slices of dang gui
1 pot chicken stock
